SAMTECH organizes its Conferences on November 15th and 16th.  All official infos can be found here.  This post will contain”less important news” updates.

Gala Dinner will take place at Liege Airport in Bierset

First Day of Samtech Conference traditionnaly ends with the Gala Dinner held in prestigious venues.  This time, the Dinner will be even more special since it will be the opportunity to celebrate SAMTECH’s 25th Birthday and LTAS (Aeronautics and Space Laboratory of the University of Liege and Acomen Conference organizer) 50th Birthday.

Sabine Laruelle, Minister of SME’s, Self Employed, Agriculture and Scientific Politic in the Federal Government,  as well as Jean-Claude Marcourt, Vice President and Minister for Economy, SME’s, Foreign Trade and New Technologies in the Walloon Government, will celebrate this important event with us.

Miysis will exhibit one of their 3D TV screen to watch without glasses

Miysis is the official dealer for 3D content and screens that don’t require glasses! We have the best autostereoscopic displays available in the world. Miysis offers two types of LCD Relief screens: 24 and 42 inches (see catalogue). With these screens, you can watch 120° animated pictures without having to wear glasses. The result is incredible; objects fly in and out of the screen – it’s just amazing.

You can set up a stall with one of those screens and dozens of people will be able to enjoy the full effect at the same time!

Conferences program will be accessible on  smartphones

It’s been decided to make the life of attendees easier.  Conference programs will be accessible during the conference on smartphones.  Wifi connection will be provided to all participants.

Imperia on display during SAMTECH Conferences

We have signed an agreement with Green Propulsion, the company selling the Imperia car.  One of their beautiful car will be on display in front of the hotel during the Conferences.

SAMTECH exhibits at MAKS

SAMTECH participates to the largest Russian exhibition dedicated to Aeronautics, MAKS, in Moscow Zhukovsky.

The slideshow features some pictures sent by our sales engineer Olivier Grammacia, who is participating to this event.  One can see some pictures taken on the runway, as well as some pics of the Belgian Village in the exhibition.

Bristol Balloon Fiesta

Samtech is proud to be sponsoring the 33rd Bristol Balloon Fiesta, starting today.

Now in its 33rd year, the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is Europe’s largest annual Hot Air Balloon event and one of the UK’s top five outdoor events.

With mass Hot Air Balloon ascents at 6.00am and 6.00pm, the infamous Nightglows on both Thursday and Saturday evenings, arena and air displays, over 250 trade stands and caterers, and a variety of other entertainments, the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is an event not to be missed.

Whether you want a fun packed day out for all the family, to meet up with friends for a drink whilst watching 150 balloons lift off, or simply to come and soak up the atmosphere in our trade village – we can guarantee you a great time.

SAMCEF for Wind Turbines European Tour

With the increase of their size and the growing tendency to place them offshore, wind turbines have been the subject of an intense race for innovation.

Simulation tools are increasingly following this trend. Understanding early that simulation must be a tool to assist engineering work, SAMTECH developed a solution to take simulation from wind turbine experts’ hands to engineers focusing on their design work. SAMCEF for Wind Turbines brings innovation to the various fields of wind turbine design.

To illustrate its expertise in both onshore and offshore simulation, SAMTECH organises a SAMCEF for Wind Turbines European Tour:

• 27^th September 2011, Barcelona, Spain,S4WT workshop: “Dynamic Load & Fatigue Analysis of On- & Offshore Wind Turbines using S4WT” workshop

• 16^th November 2011, Liège, Belgium, in the frame of the SAMTECH Conferences 2011

Industry leaders such as, REpower, OWENS CORNING, ALSTOM WIND and SCHAEFFLER, will present real-life business applications and the latest technological evolutions of their simulation processes.

Engineers and managers from various companies will get the opportunity to meet and listen to high level presentations related to their daily simulation work and to how S4WT could fit in their task and make it easier. Testimonies of experts from existing customers will help them understand the benefits of using our solution.
